Awhile ago Natalie Dee, the owner of Super Black Lacquers, released the Summer shades in a box set. She was kind enough to send me it for review purposes. I thought it would be best to show one nail polish at a time. Sort of like a tease! I will show you a picture of the box set later on in this post.
So today I decided to show you an odd one of the bunch, called Weird Girl.
Each Super Black Lacquer bottles are 18ml/.61 fl oz, and cost $12 a piece. They are the Big 4-FREE, which means no Formaldehyde, Dibutyl Phthalate, Toluene, or Formaldehyde resin. Not to mention ND is a super sweetie!
Natalie described it as "...is a strange, yet flattering neutral polish. Light concrete grey, with gold/red/purple opalescence. Weird Girl is hard to describe, but it's a beautiful, wearable, and versatile polish that looks great on!"
ND couldn't of described Weird Girl any better! I found it as an odd ball of the bunch but yet pretty in it's own little world. It reminded me of the inside of shells how it would be kind of pearlescent pinkish-purple glisten. This isn't an overwhelming bold bright or dark color. A versatile sidewalk gray that would be gorgeous by itself or with some nail art.
I was in a hurry to go out, so I did a quick animal print up on my nails with a black acrylic paint that I sealed with a top coat. The ring finger is another nail polish from Super Black Lackquers, called Lombard. I love how smoothly her nail polishes glide on for me and I didn't have any streak issues. They do dry at a decent rate, if you do not apply thick coats and give it time to dry between them.
You could buy Weird Girl by itself for $12 or if you are lucky there is a box still for sale. The Summer Box Set is $55 and it comes with 5 nail polishes: Weird Girl, Plip, Cannibal, Dusted, and Blitz. I will be posting about these shades in the near future! Til then here is a look at the box, and the nail polishes itself.
How gorgeous do those look? If you haven't checked out Super Black Lacquers yet, you are missing out!
