Hi Darlings! Today I am lucky enough to share with you a product that comes all the way from South Africa, from the company called Tip Top Nails. It's one of their Nail Chic nail polishes in the shade Triple Putty. This product was received for review purposes.
Tip Top was established back in 1981. They were one of the first companies in South Africa which recognized and addressed the needs of a professional nail salon. Their philosophy was to develop a brand of nail color and treatments which had the following characteristics: Durability, Innovation, Toxin & Cruelty Free. They utilize only the finest raw materials available. Their products are Vegan, and are BIG 4-FREE: No Toluene, Dibuthyl Phthalate, Formaldehyde, and Camphor.
Tip Top's Nail Chic Key Characteristics are:
• Finest Quality
• Durable
• Quick Drying
• Highly pigmented
• Patented “Pro-Glide”” Flat Brush for maximum coverage with each application
• Vast range of carefully selected shades from which to choose
• Formaldehyde, Toluene, DBP (Dibuthyl Phthalate) & Camphor free
• Not tested on animals
On their website Triple Putty (948) looks more of a grayish shade. As I applied it, Triple Putty reminded me of OPI - You Don't Know Jacques in a way except a little more gray (Triple Putty is). But it leans around those kind of shades.
It leans towards gray but has more of a brownish-gray tone to it. Triple Putty applied smoothly and I had to test if it was really a chip-resistant formula. So I actually wore all the shades I received, which you will be seeing the next few days, to test it out. There were no chips or peels for a week on my nails. A little wear from my nails growing, but nothing serious.
Triple Putty may be an oddball shade but I actually love wearing this shade during fall and winter!
Tip Top Nail Chic brush isn't wide at all. They're about average size and the formula on Triple Putty was wonderful. It glided on very smoothly. Dry time is average as well. Actually it really depends how thick you apply it. For my swatch I did a thin first layer of Triple Putty, of course over a base coat. Then applied my 2nd coat a bit more thicker after about 5 minutes of letting the first coat dry. I saw no streaks when I applied it.
Each of the Tip Top Nail Chic bottles are 10ml but you don't need a lot of polish to obtain opacity. So they'll last pretty long.
