Review: Femme Fatale Cosmetics - Mystic Tome, Ruby Wings, Spearmint Candy, Sun Crystal, Haunt, Incantation, Phantasm, & Duskwing

Today I would like to share with you some eyeshadows and a blush that I received from Femme Fatale Cosmetics for review purposes.  Femme Fatale Cosmetics is an indie company that is based in Australia, and they specialize in mineral cosmetics, and not to mention recently have started to do Indie polishes as well.  Their products are blended by hand which makes their products even more special.  Sophie, the owner, was very kind and helpful when I was making my decision.  Also she is very pretty!

I received samples of seven loose eyeshadows: Mystic Tome, Ruby Wings, Spearmint Candy, Sun Crystal, Haunt, Incantation, and Phantasm; and a blush: Duskwing.  Each sample goes for $1.10AUS and is about 1/8 tsp in a zip lock bag.  And all of the samples you order be it blush, foundation, or eyeshadow will be free shipping.

Femme Fatale Cosmetics carries vegan and non-vegan products.  I love that on their labels with the product name it tells you what it is, as well if it is lip safe etc.

Duskwing is one of the blushes Femme Fatale Cosmetics carries.  It is a very soft apricot shade that has some golden shimmer in it.  I applied it to a piece of white paper since I found it difficult to get an accurate shot on my skin tone.  You could build up on this product to add more pigmentation to your cheeks or keep it subtle.  The shimmer I didn't find overwhelming what so ever.  If you over blend it, Duskwing will lose some of its shimmer and the soft apricot shade will deminish a bit.

All of my eyeshadow swatches are done over NYX Eyeshadow Base White.  Left part is dry right part is wet/foiled.  Some of the looks listed in the description of the product were suggestions that Femme Fatale Cosmetics had listed.

Sun Crystal is part of the Gem Collection.  It is actually a soft-white base that is packed with golden shimmer.  On the right side, I foiled it over Sugarpill Cosmetics Bulletproof to try and show off that golden shimmer.  This product is wonderful as a highlight, inner corner, or over a dark base eyeliner to bring out that golden shimmer.  This product is vegan and lip safe.

Spearmint Candy is part of their Halloween '12 collection set "Handful of Treats," which is now a permanent collection.  The right side swatch was done over CUICU 23.  Spearmint Candy has a pale lavender base that can come off as a pale pink shade.  It has a silverish with a hint of blue-green shimmer.  It could be used as a highlight.  This product is non-vegan and not lip safe.

Phantasm is a pale lilac shade with violet tones and copper-orange shimmer.  The right swatch was done wet.  You could use this as an all over the lid look or in the crease for a soft look.  This one is vegan and not lip safe.

Mystic Tome is a light brown with a hint of crimson shimmer that shifts into a light copper at certain angles. It has a smooth velvety feel to it.  You could either use this in your crease or all over your lid.  This product is vegan and lip safe.

Incantation is a burgundy shade with pinkish-silver shimmer with a black base.  It is a wonderful product to use all over the lid, in a crease, or as a foiled eyeliner since it is dark and sultry.  This product is non-vegan and lip safe.

Ruby Wings is part of the Queen of Life collection.  Ruby Wings is such a pretty soft ruby red with pink shimmer in it.  You could use it for an all over the lid look.  This is non-vegan and lip safe.

Haunt is such a gorgeous vibrant purple with a soft red duochrome finish.  You could use this for all over the lid or place it in the crease.  If you love purple eyeshadows, this is a must check out!  This is non-vegan and recommended for eyes only.

These blend so well and are easy to work with!  Here are some looks I did with them:  (all looks were done over Urban Decay Primer Potion Original and NYX Eyeshadow Base White)

For the above look I used Ruby Wings on my lid with theBalme Nude'Tude Sexy for the crease CUICU Snow White as a highlighter.  For the bottom line it has another one of Femme Fatale Cosmetic shadows called Dispersion.  Eyeliner is Lord & Berry InkGlam and their Kohl liner.  Mascara is Avon's Dramatic.

For the above look, I used Haunt all over the lid with Incantation for a liner, bottomline has another one of their shadows called Demon Soul, and Duskwing as a highlighter.  The other eyeshadows that were used in the crease was Sugarpill Cosmetic's Dollipop and Butterycupcake.

For the above look I used Phantasm on the lid with a partial of Haunt on the outer corner into the crease.  I used another of their shadows, Spirit Bond, on the bottomline with a mixture of Sun Crystal, that is also used for the inner corner.  As for the highlighter I used Duskwing as well.  The eyeliners is Ardency Inn Punker and Sephora Smoky Kohl.

I then went for a neutral sort of look with Mystic Tome on the lid, Incantation in the crease, Spearmint Candy for a highlighter, and another one of their shadows, Illusions, on the bottom line.  For the liner I used Landbis Dual End Smoky.

Femme Fatale Cosmetics ships worldwide and their prices are AUS based.  So you'll need to convert it to come out with your currency price.  Though PayPal will do the conversion for you.  If you do place an order please keep in mind that their polishes are only able to be sold and shipped in Australia only.

I find the cost of their eyeshadows to be very reasonable!  Prices listed below are for the loose eyeshadows and I have taken the liberty of checking the USD amount.

Sample Bag (1/8 tsp) - $1.13
Mini Size (3g jar) W/ sifter - $3.20
Mini Size (3g jar) no sifter - $3.09
Full Size (5g jar) - $5.93

If you order only samples they are shipped free worldwide!  With the cost of some of the loose eyeshadows I have encountered at that price, I found were not very pigmented at all.  These are by far pigmented and a little goes a long way!

Check out their nail polishes also!  They list where you could get them as well.

If you love cosmetics, I recommend you to check out Femme Fatale Cosmetics, you won't be disappointed!
