Uh-oh! FiS moment!

I was suppose to be on a total "no-buy cosmetics" goal, but with getting supplies for work, I find it difficult to avoid.  Not to mention some of these sales that have been going on!
So here is what I picked up over the weekend!
The Sedona Lace samples came in last week, but I never got around to posting about it.  Just been so busy with so many things going on.  It included three pans of eyeshadow from their most popular palettes, and a travel brush of their Vortex Synthetic Blender.  I haven't opened up the pans yet.  As for the brush it's so cute and small!  The bristles are super soft!  Will definitely will have this in my stash when I go on travel.
Headed to Ulta.  Picked up two of their Salon Nail Lacquer in Jaded, and Maine Attraction, which is currently going as 2 for $4.  I only have one nail polish from Ulta, so I had to try more, before I pick up some for a care package to a good friend.  I also picked up Maybelline's Dream Matte Powder, in light and medium shade BOGO1/2.  So basically my trip to Ulta I spent only $12 sum since I also had the $3.50 off coupon.  Not bad at all!
Went to K-mart and noticed they had BOGO1/2 on Wet 'n' Wild products, and noticed they had the shades I was looking for the Megalast Lip Color.  Honestly if you have not tried these yet, I suggest you pick one up!  They are actually my favorite items from them.  They were actually $2.99 a piece for the lipsticks.  I picked the Coral-ine, and Purty Persimmon.
My next pick up of items, was from Walgreens.  They are currently having 50% off ALL Rimmel items.  How awesome is that?  And not to mention here are three coupons for you to print out.  Make sure your Walgreens does accept these.

http://www.redplum.com/pages/viewoffer.aspx?OfferId=85548
You are able to print them out several times.  I didn't grab that much today, since I had forgotten my list of items that I need for the shoot.  The sale is well wicked!  The foundations were about $2 sum a piece at the 50% rate already, minus $1 from the coupon!  So I spent $3.74 + tax for both of them.  LOVE SAVING!  Oh they were the Match Perfection, and Clean Finish Foundation.

What did you pick up over the weekend?  Do you plan on heading out to Walgreens now for the sale?

Hope you all had a lovely weekend, and have a great week.  Happy Monday gorgeous!

Review: theBalm - Hot Mama Shadow & Blush

I never really checked out theBalm until my best friend Les, had mentioned to me the product.  I began to look at it more often.  I got Hot Mama from a haul I did a while ago.

I love the design upon theBalm items.  The cute, sexy pin up girls.  I was always fond of that era of makeup looks.

Review: Milani Cosmetics Haute Flash Full Coverage Shimmer Lipgloss - Flashy

For the look I did today, I picked up a random Milani Cosmetics's Haute Flash Full Coverage Shimmer Lipgloss in my stash, without even looking.  And I ended up grabbing their lipgloss shade Flashy.

Review: Milani Cosmetics - Paint Eyeshadow Palette

Since the first time I saw people posting about this, I was intrigued with the way it looks in the pan. So glad this, and two of Milani's other eyeshadow palettes, came with my prize.
Just looking at the pan it looks so beautiful.  So eye catching, and different from all the eyeshadow palettes you normally see with drugstore brands, or with what Milani usually carries.  They go for $7.99 at the moment.
This eyeshadow palette is their Paint palette, for obvious reasons of course.

L.o.t.D moment with Milani

Today's look was focused on Milani Cosmetics' Paint Eyeshadow Palette, which I received from their giveaway.  I will have another post focused on the palette swatches soon.

Lipstick Searching 101

The most common sense thing to do before buying any product is, do your research!  "Google is your friend."  Look up reviews, check out swatches, etc.  Get an idea of how the lipstick might look.

When heading to the cosmetic shop (i.e. Sephora, Ulta, MAC, etc.) to try out some testers, PLEASE DO NOT PUT THAT LIPSTICK ON YOUR SKIN!  You have no idea how many times I have seen people do this, and it just makes me go "WTF?!  Are you stupid?!"  There are so many bacteria lurking around the beauty bar.  Take a few seconds and think about it.  How many people have pick that lipstick up?  Now, how many of those people placed it upon their skin, or lips?  What if someone dropped it on the floor?  Common sense!  It isn't sanitary if it has just been sitting there.

Usually the shops have rubbing alcohol laying around, so that way you could disinfect it yourself, or you could ask one of the promo people if they could do it for you.  At that point you could test it on your lips.  But for my personal choice, I still choose not to.

Most people would use the back of their hand to see how the lipstick looks.  It may show you the great color indication, but it will still look different upon your lips.  Your finger tips have a closer texture to your actual lips.  So doing lipstick swatches upon your fingertips will help you out on how it would look upon your lips.

Now you can take your finger, and place it near your lips (not on your lips).  Check the mirror.  You can now decide if the lipstick shade is right for you.

Happy hunting for lipsticks!  Enjoy your day gorgeous!

Uh-oh FiS'ed moment!

When ever I mention FiS it means "F*** it!  Splurge!"  It's something my best friend and I say when we just pick up something, usually cosmetic items, and not care at all.  Or it would be where it's on our "I want" list, and we wouldn't get it, since it isn't a "I am in a rush to get it," sort of thing.  Then once we see it in the shop -ninja'ed and dances- "FiS!"

Well today I decided to pick up a few theBalm items!
  • Hot Ticket - All you do is taupe!
  • Plump Your Pucker - Pink my lemonade!
  • Stainiac - Beauty queen
  • Bahama Mama (bronzer)
  • Hot Mama (shadow/blush)
  • Mary-Lou Manizer aka "The Luminzer"
Over time I'll show swatches, and reviews on it.  Which one would you like to see first?

Viewing the Sunset with Sugarpill

If you have Sugarpill's Burning Heart palette, the sunset look is one of those you cannot help but do.  If you have a yellow, orange, red, and purple eyeshadow in general, I suggest trying out a sunset look.  They're pretty fun to do!  I have done this look before with BH Cosmetic's 1st edition palette.

Review: Sleek iDivine Acid Palette

Sleek Make-Up is a cosmetic company that was designed for a dark skinned woman.  Their products are cheap, and is considered a drugstore brand.  The eyeshadow palettes go for $10 each.  When I first saw a look Leesha (xsparkage) did using the palette, I knew I had to get it.

A sweet and spicy taste of Sugarpill's Burning Heart

I thought I would open this little review up, with the sunshine of my life, my son Xan.  He wanted to help me do my swatches, of Sugarpill's Burning Heart palette when I got it.  So to make it more exciting for him, he asked me if he could have Pokeballs on his cheeks.  I told him we could do that, and he got even more excited.  To the point he even went to the store with his dad, showing off his cheeks.

So let's continue with the review and swatches of this gorgeous palette of theirs!
It may take awhile for them to ship out your item, but honestly it is worth the wait!  You'll notice the box right away since it has a kitty on the front with the Sugarpill logo.  By this time I was so glad I finally got my package, due to the fact stupid USPS did a misroute on my package -cries- But no worries, it got to me safely!  YAY!

My first Inglot experience!

So I'll be honest, I always thought Inglot was expensive!  Not until I actually checked it out on their site.
I have to say thank you to Leesha (xSparkage) and Christine (Temptalia) for opening my eyes to this beautiful company!
I began checking online, and didn't really want to pay for shipping since, I wanted to see how these looked in person.  Sorry but I have been fooled by some people's swatches -insert sad face here- lol.  I discovered the closest one to me was 45 minutes away.  INGLOT Y U NO HAVE CLOSER?!
